Luis Suarez may be one of the most talented footballers in the Premier League and anyone that saw his delightful first time cross which set up Daniel Sturridge to equalize against Chelsea last weekend will agree but it was a different moment in the game that Suarez will sadly be remembered for.
Bayern Munich Barcelona Tips
Luis Suarez has always been followed by controversy but sadly for the Uruguayan the frequency which these events seem to occur mean they are not simply an accident. Suarez is the Premier League’s top scorer so far this season with 23 goals, two ahead of Robin Van Persie but this latest piece of indiscipline may leave Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers with no choice but to sell him. Suarez was yet again at the heart of everything good about Liverpool’s football in their 2-2 draw with Chelsea at Anfield on Saturday but that will surely be the last time he plays for Liverpool this season and potentially ever again after he was caught on camera biting the arm of Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic when the two tangled in the Chelsea box.
For Suarez this is not the first time that he has been caught biting ... Read the rest of the article
With just 5 rounds remaining in the 2012/13 Premier League season the victors may have already been crowned bar 5-straight losses but at the bottom of the table and in the race for European places there is still much to decide. At the bottom it appears to be last chance saloon for Reading and QPR that is if it isn’t already too late. With Chelsea winning on Wednesday they have reclaimed 3rd place and Tottenham who have occupied a top 4 spot for almost the entire season suddenly find themselves in 5th and with Manchester City arriving at White Hart Lane this Sunday, Andre Villas-Boas’ side can ill afford a defeat.
At the top of the table Manchester United have a 13-point lead and require just 6 points to win the title should Manchester City win at Tottenham this weekend. If Man Utd win at Aston Villa on Monday and City fail to beat Spurs then United can win the title at rivals Arsenal the following weekend, something that no Arsenal fan would ever want to witness. Manchester City have been in a good run of form of late and last weekend they secured a place in the ... Read the rest of the article
Manchester City and Wigan will meet in the FA Cup final at Wembley as both secured a return ticket to London on 11th May for the final. The headlines from the two semi-finals however were not stunning goals or scintillating passes but crowd violence and a dangerous tackle.
Millwall have a reputation for their fans being hard to control but at a stadium that is well policed there wasn’t expected to be a massive amount of trouble. Perhaps the decision to play the game late in the afternoon wasn’t a particularly smart one but the scenes that occurred in the Millwall section of fans in the second period was a return to the old days of English lower league football.
Manchester City Wigan Odds
Perhaps the Millwall fans were frustrated with their sides performance and with the score at 2-0 with time running out one cant blame them but when they started fighting with each other many could scarcely believe their eyes. Millwall are towards the bottom of the championship and they were not fancied to beat Wigan so the loss can’t be used to explain the cause of the fighting. As it turns out Millwall football club believe that ... Read the rest of the article
Rafael Nadal is the undoubted King of Clay and this week he returns to the South of France for an event that he has completely made his own in the last 8 years. There seems no doubts that Nadal will not win this year and make it 9 in a row and even from the start of the tournament it seems that everyone else is purely playing for second. Here are the Monte Carlo Masters 2013 Odds.
Rafael Nadal has an astonishing record at Monte Carlo in which he has played 45 matches on the red clay in Monaco and only lost once. That one loss came when Nadal was only 16 and since 2005 there has been one man biting the trophy at the end of the week. The consistency that Nadal has shown in winning 8 titles in a row is absolutely remarkable especially as the tournament comes at the start of the clay court season. One would have thought that at some point he wouldn’t have quite hit his stride on the clay but no and in recent years his form has been terrifying the life out of the rest of the men’s game.

With Barcelona playing their second leg against Paris St Germain this week in the Champions League quarter-finals the question of Lionel Messi’s fitness still remains. Barcelona are unlikely to unveil if Messi is to start on the bench or the starting line-up until just before kick-off as they will want to leave Paris St Germain in the dark for as long as possible.
Barcelona Paris St Germain Odds
Lionel Messi went of injured at half-time in the first leg against PSG although his absence actually brought Barcelona more stability in the game as the addition of Cesc Fabregas into midfield gave the Catalans a dominance that allowed them to dictate for large parts of the second period. Although without Messi they lacked a cutting edge until Alexis Sanchez was brought down by Sirigu. In all likelihood Messi will start on the bench as Tito Villanova will only want to use the Argentine magician if needs be as a sustained period of time could cause his injury to become worse than initially thought. However with Barcelona having already wrapped up the Spanish league title and out of the Spanish Cup the Champions League is now the only competition that they need ... Read the rest of the article
Sergio Aguero scored a stunning solo goal to give Manchester City the bragging rights in last nights Manchester derby in what has been a frustrating season for Roberto Mancini. City really never seem to get going this season and yesterday evening performance underlined what this group of players are possible of.
Barcelona Paris St Germain Tips
Man City could still end up winning the FA Cup this season as only Chelsea stand in their way in the semi-finals next Sunday at Wembley and in truth if they were to lift it then it would really be a successful season for the Blues of Manchester compared to how they have played for the majority. What is frustrating for Man City is that had they been slightly closer to their City rivals then they could have used this victory to put some pressure on Sir Alex Ferguson’s side right at the end of the season but with just 7 games remaining and a difference of 12 points the game is well are truly up.
City suffered some terrible losses on the way but none were worse or more damaging to their title aspirations than the 3-1 loss at Southampton last month. The ... Read the rest of the article
Astonishing it may be that this was Rafael Nadal’s first triumph at a hard-court tournament since 2010 but after a prolonged period out of the game in which his possible return to the top of the game was seriously questioned makes his victory in Indian Wells all the more remarkable.
Rafael Nadal’s loss at Wimbledon last year to the spectacular Lukas Rosol wasn’t thought of as anything more than a fluke by the Czech player however the victory marked a real key point in the career of Rafa Nadal as after much hype about his strapped knees he finally took time out of the game to attempt to improve his condition. Nadal was not expected to be out for anywhere near as long as the 7-months that he was. As each tournament came Nadal prolonged his injury break and after missing the US Open last September is was obvious that he wouldn’t return until the New Year. However when he did not line up at the start of the season opening Australian Open there were real questions asked about the severity of Nadal’s injury especially as vague answers and almost blatant lies were given. Instead of saying that Nadal simply ... Read the rest of the article Pietersen ruled out of decider

Kevin Pietersen has been ruled out of the third and deciding test match with New Zealand after injuring his knee in the second test. Pietersen first felt problems before the second test but after assessing the injury it was decided that he should return home for treatment and will be out of the game for 6-8 weeks.
With obviously more than one eye not only on this summer’s Ashes Series but the back to back Ashes schedule, the England management are probably pleased for KP to have a bit of time out of the game as they will need one of their biggest weapons fit and raring to go when the Aussies arrive in June. Pietersen’s injury break will mean he will also miss definitely the first and potentially the second test against the Black Caps in England in May and will obviously take no part in the IPL in April and early May.
